Student Teaching

I'm a wee-bit slow with the blogging. This move has dramatically changed my daily schedule and one of the big things to be chunked is the blog. The picture above is N on his first day of 2nd grade!

Today, N is doing a "guest teaching" spot in his class. They are learning about sound right now and since N reads all kinds of books about science related topics, he already knew all the answers to his teacher's questions. So, yesterday, she invited him to share with his class some of the many things he knows about sound. He even took a book with him today for visual effects. This was a great thing for Mrs. B to do --- this is giving N his need for attention in a positive manner and it makes him even more proud of his love of reading.

Good idea and what a way to encourage reading. Knowledge is power!

That is fabulous!!!!! It is also good for N to be able to share what he knows. Makes him feel important.

Glad to hear he is doing so well.

Way to go N!. Can't wait to hear how the teaching went. Great teacher to suggest he share his knowledge. Very creative and affirming. Love the picture!
